The Artist

There's rarely a straight line to being an artist, and I still hesitate to call myself one, except I do make art. At 15, I was lucky enough to go on a weekend trip to New York with my high school, and my Grandad reluctantly lent me one of his older cameras to see if I could capture a spark in the Big Apple. From then on, it became a sort of private journal, freezing moments of beauty even in times of grief as I discovered everything in between. No matter what was in front of the lens, how I captured it was deeply connected to where I was in my life. Every photograph became a reflection of more than what I could see at the time. After over 20 years, I've realized the best way to honour those moments is to share them in the hope new people can find their own meaning. As I release new collections, I hope each offers a portal to that time, that place, that feeling I had in every moment I knew I had to keep forever. Now you can keep them forever too.
